Pilgrim Hospital facility was officially opened

In 1971 the first phase of the new hospital was opened and in 1977 the hospital was completed and opened by Princess Anne. The hospital was named after Boston’s Pilgrim Father’s, a group of Lincolnshire Puritans who set sail for America, naming a part after their hometown, Boston.
